Nasal surgery takes approximately 2-3 hours and is performed under general anesthesia. Following the surgery, one-day hospital stay occurs. On the 3rd day, nasal packs are removed, if they have previously placed.
On the 7th day, the splint which is placed on the nose is removed and special nasal strips are placed.
After a couple of days these strips are removed and the individual can return to his/her normal life.
Remodeling of the nose continues for 1 year Regular controls are scheduled during this period.
Cessation of smoking and use of drugs which make bleeding more likely is recommended.
Unfavorable situations that may occur following nasal surgery are insufficient resolution of problems concerning function or appearance. In that case, simple secondary interventions may be required.

Revision surgeries can be performed for individuals who have problems concerning breathing or esthetic appearance following the nasal surgery. Revision surgeries are more complicated compared to primary surgeries but it is likely to get favorable outcomes.
How much the nose is damaged in the initial operation is the most significant factor that influences the success. If there is no sufficient cartilaginous residue, use of auricular or costal cartilages may be required.
